  • March 2010: New Employee
  • We are proud to announce that the team here at EvolvIT has just grown by one. As the web side of our business continues to grow we have seen the need to take onboard a trainee web developer, the role involves looking after our existing web portfolio whilst developing new and exciting projects as they come along. Jason Carney began work this week and will be taking on this role until he returns to University at the end of the year. After Jason qualifies we hope the platform has been laid for him to continue in his relationship with EvolvIT.   • January 2010: New site Launched
  • We do not normally make a news article about a site launch, but this one is different. Different in that we have formed a partnership with ProLab Nutrition in Bristol www.prolab.co.uk to create the site www.supplement-zone.co.uk. By forming a partnership we have kept the costs to a minimum for ProLab. We also ensure the site is kept up to date, and fully optimised for the latest search engine queries.   • December 2009: Opening Times Over Xmas

    Dear Customer

    It’s that special time of year again when we extend our best wishes and thank you all for your continued support throughout 2009, and into 2010 and beyond.

    We close on Wednesday 23rd December and reopen again on Monday 4th January 2010.

    If you are a Virtual IT client then your systems will continue to be monitored throughout this period and we ask that if support is required you make full use of our web based support facility.

    Should you be trading during this period and require support please provide us with your opening times so we can ensure we have provision to deal with any requests.

    Those customers who have emergency mobile contacts or are covered by an out of hours contract, we will make every effort to answer all calls – however please leave a message and we will return your call as soon as possible.

  • November 2009: IT Support: Going green by lowering EvolvIT's CO2 footprint! It is hard to ignore, we are all producing too much CO2. It could be from inefficient electrical usage, car usage or simply quantity of waste sent to landfill. Being a business we have a larger CO2 footprint than most - and so we have implemented as many procedures as possible to reduce the impact EvolvIT has on our environment.   • October 2009: Peninsula EvolvIT's support system hits 6000 tickets! Our back end support system is proving a huge success among both the EvolvIT team and our clients. The system has now reached over 6000 successfully resolved support issues providing both our client's and EvolvIT with detailed breakdown of reported problems along with its resolution.

  • September 2009: Peninsula EvolvIT are pleased to announce that they are now an authorised reseller of AVG after a successful completion of the AVG Sales and Technical Training!

  • September 2009: Super-fast and ultra-small computers have been brought one step closer to reality with the successful test of a new penny-sized chip.
    News websites have reported this month that the latest CPU chip to be designed has successfully passed the maths test meaning super-fast and ultra-small computers are in the pipeline.
    Watch this space as IT technology grows!

  • August 2009: Microsoft Releases Windows 7. Microsoft have now officially released their newest addition to the Windows Operating System series. The latest version of Windows, known as "Windows 7" follows on from Windows Vista, less than 3 years after its release. Windows 7 will have a brand new counterpart with the forth coming release of Windows Server 2008.
    Windows 7 aims to be more enhanced with the latest introduction of features than ever before and is intended to be a more focused, incremental upgrade to the Windows line. Microsoft's main goal is to make the operating system fully compatible with both applications and hardware which previous Window Versions already support.
    The new operating system still has the look and feel of the major over haul which Windows Vista presented in its release from Windows XP, however the windows shell has been redesigned with a new task bar and performance improvements amongst other things including the facility to become more touch recognition.

  • July 2009: EvolvIT release new look town guide for Weston super Mare. EvolvIT are proud to have put a new look on the number one town guide for Weston super Mare. www.weston-super-mare.com is the number one site in all of the major search engines for the town and is visited by over 45,000 unique users a month. With many of the major hotels and establishments now advertising on the site, EvolvIT hope the new site will be a major boost to the town’s economy. 

  • May 2009: EvolvIT director Matt Winchester is pleased to announce the birth of his first child, Nathan Brandon Winchester. Nathan was born at 08:02 on Friday 15th May, weighing in at 8lb 10oz. Mother and baby are doing very well, but Matt is struggling with the sleepless nights!

  • April 2009, Brothers bag pub double - TWO brothers have achieved a unique double in Weston pub sports competition - bagging individual wins in the town's pool and skittles leagues. For Milton Hill resident Dave, a 29-year-old director of IT firm EvolvIT, it was a first singles title in 14 years of skittling, while 36-year-old Jon has bagged multiple titles during 21 years of league competition.   • From July 2008 Peninsula Evolvit Ltd are offering new potential customers a free, no obligation site survey. The survey will encompass everything from performance issues to security and will be followed up with a written report presented in person.   • July 2008. Peninsula Evolvit Ltd have just been awarded the contract to create a new website for bibic (British Institute For Brain Injured Children). Our Matt Winchester says "Although we have looked after bibic's IT systems for almost 9 years now it is a priviledge to be able to assist bibic further in their very worthy cause". The CMS based web site is to have some additional exciting features including a Childrens area with games and messaging facilities, secure family area, streaming media and a new look E-commerce section.


  • Since its succesful launch in September 2006 our in house developed automated support system has exceeded 3,500 support requests with an average response time of well under one hour.


  • Since David Harding BSC(Hons) joined us in November 2007 he has succesfully completed a rigerous training programme and has proved to be a valuable member of our support team. David who in 2006 graduated from the University of Wales joined us from a previous support role and has adapted well to the more hands on approach Peninsula Evolvit Ltd deliver. David says "Having worked in support before I could'nt beleive the difference in approach Peninsula Evolvit Ltd has, especially the strong relationship that it enjoys with all its clients."


  • In June 2006, after a long association with the company Matthew Winchester BSC(Hons) has been appointed as Technical Director. Matt's appointment is key to the future growth of the business and he has already made quite an impression delivering some amazing new solutions to both enhance our existing database platforms and new state of the art web sites too.


  • Early 2006 saw our commitment to improve on our already impressive server up times by moving to Rackspace dedicated web hosting services who have one of the best facilities in Europe regarding security and reliability with 100% uptime guaranteed.


  • During 2005/2006 we aquired the ability to provide our very own broadband facilities with the full range of services on offer from leased lines and SDSL to a selection of some impressive speeds from the recognised ADSL system. Better still it enabled us the ability to completely manage and fault find any potential problems on each line removing the need to communicate with the usual disorganised service providers.
