HOW TO PLAY!

The first thing to realise is that the machine will not do anything until you have put some money in it. To put money in the machine, you simply click on the coins in the top left of the display. Please note that you cannot put in more money than you have on you.
The status display below the main playing area shows you how much money you have, how much you've put into the machine and how much you have got out.

To win money, you have to get a winning combination of pictures on the central row. The table to the far left shows you what combinations win what amount. As you can see, 3 of anything wins. There is however a bonus face. To get the bonus you only have to get 2 bonus faces in any order to win.

To spin the reels click on the handle.
To collect any winnings, click on the collect button.
When Holds or Nudges are offered, click on the buttons beneath the reels as required.

Tester Applet

This applet is used to test the payout of the one-armed bandit system. To use it simply enter the number of times you wish to spin the reels and press GO!.
As the applet states, the quick test is between 1000 and 5000. This is a very inaccurate test so do not be surprised if the percentage varies from 30% up to over 150%. A test with around 200000 spins seems to produce between 84% and 86% every time. This will however take a very long time! (Especially on the UWE Unix system!)
