Every network we install is carefully planned and designed to deliver maximum performance with unrivaled reliability and redundancy. We pre-install and pre-configure all relevant software painstakingly testing each and every network component prior to delivery. Servers
We insist on installing IBM servers mainly due to thier robust build quality and because IBM have invested extensively in providing second to none after care through their national network of field engineers assisting us in the delivery of very impresive response times. We design all our IBM servers to take full advantage of Intels impressive server based Xeon Processors with maximum redundancy built in :-
- RAID 5 combines three or more disks in a way that protects data against loss of any one disk. Should a drive fail the server emails our support centre and we make a site visit to replace the drive. With the integral Hot Swap technology we are able to replace the drive without affecting any active network users.
- Hot Swap technology is also adopted should one of the two power supplies fail. Again our support centre is emailed by the server and a simple visit to site to replace the faulty power supply without the need to shutdown the server is all thats required.
- The servers redundancy is further enhanced by an interactive external battery backup device that removes potentially damaging power spikes and in the event of an external electricity failure will keep systems available for up to an hour. If power isn’t restored in this time then special software automatically shuts down the server in a controlled manor safeguarding the integrity of all files. Again we are informed by the server that a power cut has occurred.
Because we know over time that the demands on your server are likely to increase we not only over specify to maximise the servers life we also ensure that each server has as much future proof features built in as possible. These include the ability to install a second Xeon Processor, additional ram and additional storage capacity.
